Valentine's Day

Dear blog friends,

As a post for today, I'll briefly talk about Valentine's Day.

There is this rule that I usually state is that I don't celebrate Valentine's. I've never had a Valentine, which could possibly explain my aversion to this holiday.

But, as it so happens, I still plan on celebrating a nice Valentine's Day in the future. I just don't feel the urge to date or do anything special for this day as of now. I have no significant other, and no crushes that I feel deserve my energy or thought. That may sound weird, but high school has proven to be no place to find someone to spend the rest of your life with.

But anyway, enough of my ramblings. To those of you who do have a Valentine to spend the day with, happy Valentine's Day. To all you single people (myself included), come watch TV shows with me. It'll be fun.

Yours truly,

-- Gina

  2. It's become such a retail driven holiday that I shy away from it too, although I admit I made goody bags for my fiance' and one for his daughter.

  3. If anything I remain slightly saddened I did not get to speak out against V-Day today, but I don't really care all that much. When you do get around to celebrating it, I hope you can enjoy it. Until then, celebrate it by treating yourself instead of someone else.

  6. I met my husband in high school. We were married a year and a half after graduation. :) Sometimes high school is an okay place to meet a spouse. :)

  7. I met my boyfriend in Secondary school too. We're still together thirteen years later - but he's yet to make an honest woman of me! -x-

  8. I met Dr. X in high school. I didn't like him. I should have stayed with that original feeling and not married him.

  10. We don't do much for Valentines Day. This year we were both at the eye doctor and had to go out to eat because we were hungry. That's the only reason we went out.

  11. One day you will have a great Valentine's Day with someone you love :) I know it's not typical, but I met my husband in high school and we have been together ever since, so it is possible to meet the love of your life in high school!
